The problem you are already seeing
Every primary school has the same shape on its maths attainment data: a cluster of children who are doing fine, and a tail of children whose recall is not fluent enough to keep up.
The pattern starts in Key Stage 1 and gets harder to fix every year. A Year 2 child who has not internalised bonds to 20 is the Year 4 child still finger-counting through column addition, and the Year 6 child losing reasoning marks because the arithmetic is slow.
Most maths tools tell you how a child scored overall. They do not tell you which specific facts each child is missing. That is the level of detail teachers need to plan targeted support.
